Bloody Fight in Boston

Earlier in the game, Tyler Austin slid hard into second and spiked Brock Holt. The umpires determined it was a good slide. Both dugouts emptied at the time, but the spiking was really a glancing blow, rather than a straight on take out. Now, in the top of the seventh inning, Joe Kelly throws at Tyler Austin once and misses, then throws again and hits Austin, and that precipitates a fight. Austin charges the mound, and at the end, both Kelly and Austin have blood on them. There are going to be ejections and I suspect suspensions.

The Yankees lead the Red Sox 10-6.

I don’t understand how they could call that a good slide. He kicked out at Holts leg away from the bag and spiked him and he overslid the bag completely. Thats a slide that players have always considered dirty, and doubly so under the new rules. MLB review system losing all integrity IMO. Lets hear what the anonymous umps in NY have to say Ok Manfred?
