Given the general low ERAs of the starters scheduled for Tuesday, this might be one of the lowest offensive days of the season. It starts with the Rays visiting the Nationals with Nathan Eovaldi facing Max Scherzer. Eovaldi makes just his second start of the season, but in his first he pitched six no-hit, shutout innings walking one and striking out four. Scherzer is the master of taking no-hitters deep, and comes into the game with a 1.92 ERA. He allowed just 49 hits in 79 2/3 innings, and goes for his tenth win of the season.

Ross Stripling takes his 1.68 ERA into Pittsburgh against Joe Musgrove and his 0.64 ERA. Stripling makes his seventh start for the Dodgers to go along with 11 relief appearances. His ERA is 2.18 as a starter, where he’s struck out 42 in 33 innings with just five walks. Musgrove allowed just one run in 14 innings, with only two of his twelve hits allowed coming with men on base.

The NL Central leader visits the AL Central leader as Junior Guerra and his 2.65 ERA faces Corey Kluber and his 2.02 ERA. Both are reasons the Brewers and Indians are in first place. Guerra owns a 2.08 ERA on the road, and has yet to give up a home run away. Kluber stands 5-0 at home with a 1.26 ERA with just 4 walks in 43 innings to go along with 50 strikeouts.

It’s a one-two match-up in the AL West as the first place Mariners visit the second place Astros. James Paxton takes on Dallas Keuchel. Paxton pitched well against the Astros in his career, with a 3.16 ERA in nine starts. He only allowed three home runs in 51 1/3 innings against them. Keuchel is even better career against the Mariners, with a 2.67 ERA in 16 games, including two complete games.

Finally, the Diamondbacks continue their series with the Giants. Patrick Corbin faces Madison Bumgarner. Corbin is blowing away batters this season, with 98 K in 75 1/3 innings. Bumgarner returns from the disabled list to make his 2018 debut. Bumgarner owns a 2.79 career ERA at home where he is 50-35.
