Through Sunday, I counted that the Twins have 21 games left against the Indians and Royals. The Sox have 12 and the Tigers have 15. It was a quick count but if those numbers are right, the Twins have a great chance. It also looks like the Twins (after Sunday) have no more games left against the Angels, Red Sox or Yankees.

The Twins are my dark horse to win the World Series. Mauer, Morneau and Span give them an excellent core on offense. Their pitchers still don’t walk many batters, their 2.8 BB per nine best in the league. Take away the walk, and you reduce OBAs to batting averages. Their schedule gives them a decent chance of making the post season.
