You don’t like to see this in a boxscore. Ryan Howard was hit by a pitch and removed for a pinch runner. Howard got the day off yesterday, and he’ll get the rest of today off as well. Looking at the play by play, he was taken out not because of the HBP, but he turned his ankle going into second on a single to rightfield.

I just saw the replay. Howard over ran the bag, and twisted the ankle getting back to second. He walked off the field with some support.
