Carlos Santana was carted off the field in a leg cast after a collision at the plate Monday night in the Indians/Red Sox game. It looks like the injury to his knee is not too bad:
“He tested well with the trainers,” said Acta. “They feel that he doesn’t have any serious damage on his PCL or ACL. Right now we’re calling it a knee contusion. Once the MRI comes out we’ll have more.
“But once again, the tests looked good.”
He’s going to miss a few games, I assume. The Indians are not in a division race, so there’s no use taking a chance on one of their young stars making things worse.
It sure looked worse than that on TV.
