You don’t recall it because that was NOT the rule: Those balls were clearly in play before. I guess this falls under the same category as when the replay rules were first adopted effective for the playoffs. Next up: change the rules between/during the games? Maybe we can add the designated hitter to the NL playoff games? Allow a team to make the fences higher or lower if a player is injured?
