Via Jeffrey Miron, it’s easy to buy steroids on Amazon. Thank goodness the justice department is putting all that time and money into prosecuting Barry Bonds rather than stopping the sources. 🙂

not exactly a surprise given the unregulated nature of the supplement industry – puts a new perspective on the athletes that claim that they didn’t know and the whole line of thinking that they need to be responsible for what goes into their bodies. Yes, but when they buy over-the-counter supplements that are labelled with ingredients what are they supposed to do? And if they DID take that to a team trainer who then looked at the ingredients and said that it was OK, then what then?
This is the danger of a witch hunt, even before we get into what you so aptly note about the foolishness of pursuing Barry Bonds on perjury charges. Surely we have better things to do that will more effectively address whatever the real dangers are.
Would like to order anabolic steroids immediately!
