The Houston Astros locked up Wandy Rodriguez for three seasons at a total cost of $34 million. Wandy does many things well as a pitcher, which helped him to an ERA of 3.60 or lower over the last three years. He’s averaged 200 innings over the last two seasons, so in his 30s he’s become durable. It’s a very fair deal as the Astros buy out two years of arbitration.
