Triple Play Week

The Brewers turned a triple play Monday night, and this evening, the Red Sox accomplished the same feat. With men on first and second and no on out in the Rays’ half of the fourth inning, Sean Rodriguez hit a hard ground to Jed Lowrie at third base. Lowrie just stepped on the bag as part of his throw to second, then Dustin Pedroia completed the relay to Adrian Gonzalez for the around the horn triple play. The Rays lead 3-1 in the top of the sixth, however.
