After escaping a bases loaded jam in the top of the sixth, the bottom of the inning belongs to the Tigers offense. The first four batters hit for the cycle in order, as Ryan Raburn singles, Miguel Cabrera doubles him home for a 3-2 Tigers lead, Victor Martinez triples(!) Cabrera home, then Delmon Young hits his second home run of the game, and Detroit leads Texas 6-2. I really picked a bad inning to eat. 🙂

All of this came off C.J. Wilson, who remains in the game.

Update: Just went back and watched the triple. Martinez hit the ball the opposite way, down the rightfield line. Nelson Cruz dove and missed the ball, and by the time he could get up and field it, Victor made it to third. Brandon Inge draws a one out walk.

Update: The Tigers don’t score again, but they provided Justin Verlander breathing room as they take a 6-2 lead to the seventh inning.
