The Astros cleared their arbitration calendar by signing Jed Lowrie.
Jed Lowrie and the Houston Astros have avoided an arbitration hearing, agreeing to a $1.15 million, one-year contract.
His average worth was $4.5 million over the last two years according to FanGraphs. Most of that came in 2010, however, so instead of making about $1.8 million, he’ll take a lower paycheck to prove himself this season.
