Going to Eleven

The Blue Jays defeat Kansas City 4-1 to send the Royals to their 11th loss in a row. It’s the eighth time in this streak that the Royals scored three runs or less, but they also lost the two game in which they scored seven or more. Ned Yost may want to think about putting Billy Butler and Mike Moustakas together in the lineup. Tonight they were separated by Eric Hosmer and Jeff Francoeur, both with OBPs below .300.

I suppose one could put a positive spin on this by thinking the Royals are getting their bad stretch out of their system early. In the movie Apollo 13, however, there is a small glitch during the second stage burn on liftoff. The astronauts thought they had gotten their glitch out of the way.

The Blue Jays keep pace with the Yankees and remain tied for first.
