Jake Peavy pitched a complete game Monday night as the White Sox shutout the Athletics 4-0. Peavy allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out five. Oakland was just 3 for 24 putting the ball in play.

Peavy continues to look like he returned to form, but he did pitched complete game shutouts in both 2011 and 2010. I’m more impressed with his 4 walks and 26 K in 28 2/3 innings this season.

Update: South Side Sox also wonders if this shutout can be trusted.
