Tigers Clinch

Miguel Cabrera goes four for five with a home run and an RBI as the Tigers beat the Royals 6-3 and clinch the AL Central division title. The White Sox kept the pressure on with an 11-0 win over Cleveland, but it doesn’t matter as the Tigers go to the playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1934-1935. They’ve won eight of their last nine games to become the first AL team to clinch a division. They will be the visiting team of whatever division winner finishes with the second best record.
