Dodgers at Nationals

We saw a very well pitched game Saturday night in Washington. Bio Gonzalez was over powering, while Zack Greinke pitched out of trouble often. The Nationals caught a bad break or two, but also swung a little too often on 3-0 pitches. It was a sell out crowd, and they were none too happy at the lack of offense as the Dodgers win 3-1 in ten innings.

I was very impressed with the arm of Yasiel Puig. He almost threw out Ian Desmond on a single to right, and his late throw home ended up working as Roger Beradina was thrown out at second.

This was the first time I saw Bryce Harper bat live, and the ball just rockets off his bat.

From our seats, we had a very good view of Ryan Zimmerman on defense. He never sets himself to make a throw. It is like he always thinks he had to rush the throw. When he made his error, you could see it coming when he picked up the ball. This time it did not lead to a run.

All in all, an edge of your seat game.
