The Indians lead the Mariners 4-1 in the top of the fifth inning. The Mariners score a run despite having no hits in the game, as a walk and an error in the second inning led to the tally. With Seattle scoring four runs the other day on just one hit, they seem to be getting good a scoring in other ways. 🙂 Scott Kazmir walked one and struck out four so far for the Indians.
Ya know, it’s enough to make me wonder how many runs are scored without a hit, for the season, team by team. I hadn’t really thought about lookin’ at a team’s scoring that way before. And I wonder if team’s that do better at this, tend to make the playoffs or if it’s more random.
