Cy Leaders Extend

Johnny Cueto and Masahiro Tanaka both extended their Cy Young Tracker leads with good games Tuesday night. Cueto did not get the win in the 6-5 Reds victory over the Pirates, but that was due to the bullpen letting him down. Cueto allowed two runs in six innings, but did not pitch all that well as he walked four and struck out just two. The start was good for 1.2 Tango points, and Cueto now leads Adam Wainwright by 5.8 points.

Tanaka passed Cueto for top spot in the majors with his one run performance. Jose Reyes hit a lead-off home run, the only run for the Jays on the night. Tanaka lasted six innings, striking out ten. He took home with win, good for four points. He leads Felix Hernandez by 4.7 points in the AL race.

Yu Darvish failed to gain with a poor outing against the Rangers.
