Corey Kluber and Jon Lester battled in a classic pitchers duel Monday afternoon, combining for 16 1/3 innings, one walk, and 17 strikeouts. Kluber retired the first sixteen batters he faced, and neither team scored until the seventh inning. It was tied at one in the ninth when rookie Kris Bryant launched a game winning homer for a 2-1 Cubs win over the Indians. Kluber and Lester now have almost identical ERAs, 3.43 for Kluber, 3.44 for Lester.
