It’s an all Gonzalez match-up in Chicago as Gio Gonzalez and the Nationals take on Miguel Gonzalez and the White Sox. Gio owned a 1.86 ERA after eight starts, but slipped in his last three games. He allowed 18 runs and five homers in 15 2/3 innings, raising his overall ERA to 3.94. He walked four and struck out 21 in that time, but allowed 25 hits. It may be that batters figured out Gio is not throwing balls outside the zone much, and are going after him more aggressively.

Miguel Gonzalez comes in with a 3.93 ERA. He makes just his second appearance at home since his move to Chicago. Miguel has been pitching better lately, with a 2.89 ERA in his last four appearances. His good K/BB/HR rates are paying off.
