The Mariners lost Felix Hernandez for another three or four weeks due to his shoulder:

The team announced Tuesday that Hernandez, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list Saturday, is expected to miss three to four weeks after being diagnosed with bursitis in his throwing shoulder. Adding to the Mariners’ troubles, newly acquired reliever David Phelps is expected to miss two to three weeks with a right elbow impingement after walking off the mound during Sunday’s game.

Seattle entered play Tuesday one game out of the second American League wild card spot. At 57-56, the Mariners are one of a half-dozen teams sitting just outside a playoff spot now that could conceivably make a run by the end of September.

I’m not sure Hernandez’s injury will make that much of an impact. He owns a 4.28 ERA this season, and averaged just 5 2/3 innings per start. His strikeout and walk rates were ace like, but he allowed 16 home runs in 73 2/3 innings.
