The Twins were down after the loss in the AL Wild Card game, but the future looks bright:
“This team is going to be good,” Eddie Rosario said.
“Are we satisfied? Absolutely not,” second baseman Brian Dozier said. “But I’m incredibly proud of these guys how we battled and competed. It was unbelievable.”
I think we will look back at this team and see 2016 as the anomaly. They brought along a number of good, young players in 2015, took a big step back in 2016, and came right back to winning in 2017. This unit should mature into a very good team, especially if they can improve the pitching. I like this group moving up over the next few seasons.
I really hope they can get Mauer a World Series appearance, if not a championship.
Tigers are in rebuild mold, I guess the White Sox too. Royals are going to be if their free agents all depart. Might just be Twins and Indians for a couple of years.
