The Pirates start Lance Lynn with a walk and a double. The run produced from those two events is the first allowed by a Twins starting pitcher this season. The Pirates get off to a 1-0 lead in their home opener.

Update: Colin Moran comes up with two out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the first inning. He slams a 3-2 pitch into the rightfield seats for a 5-0 Pirates lead. For a team that’s not trying to win, the Pirates are doing a pretty good job of playing baseball so far in 2018.
