The Astros finish their series at the Twins with Lance McCullers facing Kyle Gibson. McCullers blew batters away in his first two starts, striking out 17 in 10 1/3 innings. He still managed to allow 11 hits, however. Gibson struck out 9 in his first 10 1/3 innings, but allowed just seven hits. That helped him to an 0.87 ERA.

The Yankees and Red Sox play the second game of their series with Masahiro Tanaka battling David Price. Tanaka has yet to walk a batter in 12 1/3 innings, and with nine hits allowed, the opposition owns a .200 OBP against him. Price has yet to allow a run, giving up just seven hits in 14 innings. Both those games were against the Rays.

Finally, Steven Brault takes on Jon Lester as the Pirates try to make it two in a row against the Cubs. Brault walked or struck out 12 of the 33 batters he faced, with batters going 5 for 21 in the other at bats with no extra base hits. Lester has yet to allow a home run after giving up 26 in 2017. That was a single season high for the Cubs lefty.
