Jordan Zimmermann pitched poorly since joining the Tigers, but I’d rather see him leave the field because batters were get hits on balls in play than because a batter hit Zimmermann with a ball in play.

Jordan Zimmermann left his start against the Cleveland Indians (a.k.a Mendozas) on Wednesday after taking a sharp line drive off his head. Zimmermann stayed down on the field for a couple of minutes while being evaluated, but walked off under his own power. Zimmermann is currently being evaluated for further injuries by the Tigers training staff.
