First Start Success

Jarlin García, making his first major league start after 70 relief appearances, pitched six no-hit innings against the Mets. He threw 77 pitches, 44 for strikes, walking two batters and striking out three. It appears the Marlins are taking him out of the game. It’s a very positive game for Miami, as they may have found another starter.

The Marlins lead the Mets 1-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Update: Drew Steckenrider comes on in relief, and allows a two-out single to Todd Frazier in the seventh inning.
