An MRI shows Jason Rupe with an inflamed elbow, not a tear. He won’t be on the opening day roster, however.

Rangers manager Buck Showalter said the plan was for Rupe to be shut down for 10 days and then slowly start pitching again.
?It will be tough for him to start for us,? Showalter said. ?But this is as good news as we could expect.?
