Stop! In the Knee of Love

Daniel Murphy does not look comfortable on the bases or fielding, so the Nationals are going to keep him in the minor leagues for a while:

Martinez acknowledged that Murphy hasn’t looked comfortable on the bases, and said the veteran second baseman told him the trouble was “only when he stops.” He also said there was no consideration among him and members of the Nationals medical staff to shut Murphy down at all because of the trouble.

“He’s in constant contact with the doctors and the doctors said he’s good. So it’s just a matter of him getting out there and getting comfortable playing again,” Martinez said. “I told him the game’s going to speed up coming back. You haven’t played in a while so let’s just get you back comfortable.”

Murphy is 5 for 24 at AA, so he’s not exactly setting the minors on fire.
