Four Athletics hit two doubles each, four of those coming in the three run sixth inning that put the game out of reach. That combined with Trevor Cahill allowing just one hit during his seven innings of work result in 7-1 win for Oakland, and a tie for first in the AL West.

It’s the fifth time this season a team knocked out at least eight doubles in a game. The Indians hit 11 on July 1st for the most in the majors this year.
