My bold (and baseless) prediction is that within 24 hours from now the Yankees will sign Bryce Harper to a 3-year, $125 million contract.

Yankees get their 3rd MVP rf, Harper is still FA at age 29 under the next CBA. He gets a ton of money and Yankees steal the spotlight from the Super Bowl.

It’s a great prediction. The Yankees like swooping in once they see what the rest of the market will bear. Announcing during the Super Bowl would steal some publicity from Boston as well. We will see.
