In yesterday’s Games of the Day post I joked that given the ERAs of the pitchers scheduled, it might be a very high scoring day. It turned out to be the lowest scoring day of the season so far, 6.57 runs per game (min 10 games played on the day). In fact, there were eight game with nine or fewer runs decided by one run, including Cleveland’s 1-0 win over Seattle. This was a group of pitchers who needed to make adjustments, and if yesterday’s results are any indications, many of the figured out things.
