Padres starter Chris Paddack came into the Wednesday afternoon game against the Yankees having allowed just four home runs in his first 51 1/3 innings. He discovered the perils of pitching in the Bronx as DJ LeMahieu and Luke Voit homered back-to-back in the bottom of the first. Paddack allowed one more in a five inning stint as the Yankees beat the Padres 7-0. James Paxton pitched four no-hit innings in his return from the disabled list, and the bullpen allowed just one hit.
Paddack allowed two home runs in 31 2/3 innings at home, five home runs in 24 2/3 innings on the road.
And Stanton and Judge are still on the DL.
