May 2019 accomplished that in about 1800 fewer plate appearances, however. May 2019 sees a home run in 3.57% of PA, May 2000 posted a home run in 3.37% of PA.

The home runs this afternoon put this May on top. Impressively, the Rays have scored 11 runs through five innings against the Twins without the aid of a homer.
