Best Batter Today

There is one change in the top five of the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings this morning. Christian Yelich and Yuli Gurriel both extended their hit streaks to sixteen games and remain one and four in the standings. Mike Trout singled and walked to remain in second place, and Ketel Marte did the same to hold third place.

Xander Bogaerts picked up three hits, including a double, to move into fifth place, with Cody Bellinger dropping to eighth place. Bogaerts teammate, Rafael Devers, is a hair back in sixth. Fourth through fourteenth place is now separated by ten points.

Note also that Jose Ramirez has moved up to seventeenth place as he and the Indians surge.
