I’m very excited for the first game of Yankees -Braves doubleheader as Gerrit Cole takes on Ian Anderson, making his major league debut. As you can see in this video, Anderson not only has a great game face, but a high leg kick.

I suspect, however, that he might throw a spit ball.

The Marlins send Elieser Hernandez against the Mets and Jacob deGrom. At age 25, Hernandez upped his strikeout rate, leading to a big reduction in hits allowed and in ERA. deGrom once again dominates the league. Since the start of the 2018 season, deGrom’s ERA is half a run better than any 300 inning pitcher in the majors.
