“We’ve had three positives at our alternate site,” Stearns said. “We have gone through contact tracing. We do not believe it will have any impact at all on our major-league team. We’ve been fortunate to get through this season relatively unscathed in this area. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get all the way there at our alternate site.”

The Brewers are in fourth place in the NL Central, but only one game out for a tie for second. Of the three close teams, the Brewers have the second best head-to-head record, so they would get third place and have to get in on overall winnng percentage. They do control their destiny as they play the last eight games of the regular season against Cincinnati and St. Louis.
