Tim Kirkjian sums up the frustrations of following and working in baseball this year. For Tim, he misses going to games and talking to players, things that add to his ability to tell stories better. He’s frustrated with the technology. He used a Kevin Cash quote as a jumping off point:
“This isn’t fun.”

I have to agree. Like Kirkjian, I love the game too much to stop blogging. It’s just not the same watching these empty parks with fake noise.
I really wish they allowed a few thousand fans in each game, at least in the open air stadiums. It would have made a huge difference.
One more thing where Kirkjian and I agree:
We care more about a catcher framing a pitch than actually catching a pitch.
MLB needs to hammer umpires about pitch framing until it is driven from the game. Call the zone as it’s meant to be called.
I look forward to the day we can use technology to call balls and strikes.
I agree, I think they should let a few thousand fans in, open air, and 6 feet apart and it being monitored. Would have made a difference
