The Angels fire general manager Billy Eppler:

Mike Trout is the best hitter in the game, and the Angels managed to score just 4.54 runs per game during his tenure, eighth in the AL. That might have worked if he acquired decent pitching but the Angels allowed 4.72 runs per game in that time, seventh in the AL.

The Albert Pujols contract was not his fault, and likely hamstrung his decisions a bit. Trout is now past his prime, and there is little to show in terms of team success for having a star of that magnitude.
