Ninth Inning Lightening

Austin Riley of the Braves leads off the top of the ninth inning with the second Braves home run to break a 1-1 tie with the Dodgers. Riley came into the game four for 17 with no extra-base hits in the playoffs, striking out eight times. He’s now five for 21 with 10 K.

Update: The top of the Braves order generates another run. Ronald Acuna, Jr. doubles, Freddie Freeman hits a deep fly ball to center to advance Acuna to third, then Marcell Ozuna singles to drive in the run. The Braves have a bit of insurance as they lead the Dodgers 3-1.

Update: Ozzie Albies hits a two-run, two-out home run to put the Braves up 5-1. It’s the third home run of the game for the Braves, and five of the six runs scored in the game were driven in with homers.
