Braves Take Game One

The Braves beat the Dodgers 5-1 in game one of the NLCS. The Braves picked up eight hits to the Dodgers four, and three home runs to the Dodgers one. Max Fried of the Braves pitched another great game, although he did not get the win. He walked two and struck out nine in six innings. Walker Buehler lived up to his name, walking five batters in five innings, but only allowed one run on a solo home run. Braves starters have now allowed five runs in 34 2/3 innings, and this was only the second of the six starts in which they allowed at least a run.
