Former Oakland pitcher Dave Stewart takes a step to help his home town. He put in a bid to buy the city’s half of the Oakland Coliseum so he can develop the area once the Athletics move out:
In a Tweet on Saturday night, Stewart, who grew up in the area, said doing “right by our community” is the driving force behind the bid. He told the Chronicle he has ideas of developing the area and potentially building a new stadium there if plans for the Howard Terminal ballpark fall through.

The Bay area could certainly use more housing. This could turn out to be a very good investment for Stewart and a boon to the community.
I was a player on the Geneva Senators in ‘71.
We were the last rookie team for the Senators.
Only former Senator Bill Madlock played in MLB
longer than me. Need boxscore of that team
and league. Any advice?
Baseball Reference has team totals. They have Madlock on the 1970 team, not the 1971 team.
