Yu Darvish of the Padres brought a perfect game into the fifth inning against the Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw allowed one hit through four innings as neither team scored. Darvish hit a batter with two outs, then gave up a hit and a walk to load the bases for Kershaw. Kershaw draws the walk to put the Dodgers up 1-0. Davish lost the strike zone suddenly, but that’s no excuse for not challenging the opposing pitcher.

The Dodgers lead the Padres 1-0 in the middle of the fifth.
