Best Batter Today

Jose Ramirez of the Indians continues to hit for power as his one for four with a home run keeps him on top of the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. His home run helped spoil the Mariners debut of Logan Gilbert as the Indians win 4-2. Ramirez now sits alone atop the AL home run leaders.

The Dodgers enjoyed an off day, Max Muncy and Corey Seager holding the second and third slots respectively.

Jose Abreu of the White Sox moves back into the top five after a one for three game with a walk in a 4-2 win over the Twins. Marcus Semien of the Blue Jays goes two for five in an 8-4 win against the Braves to take fifth place. Semien owns the longest current hit streak in the majors at twelve games.

Xander Bogaerts of the Red Sox takes home the highest game score of the day with an 80. He goes three for three with a double, home run, and walk in an 8-1 win over the Athletics. Twenty of his 49 hits went for extra bases this season, and he’s slugging .603.
