The Cardinals and Cubs renew their rivalry as Wade LeBlanc takes on Kyle Hendricks. LeBlanc escaped from the Orioles where he owned a 9.45 ERA, and in 12 appearances and three starts for the Cardinals holds a 2.16 mark. Hendricks allowed 20 home runs this season, but ten of those came in April.

The Yankees send Nestor Cortes against the Astros and Jake Odorizzi. Cortes pitched well this season, mostly out of the bullpen. He struck out 29 in 21 innings without allowing a home run. Odorizzi allowed just 28 hits in 41 1/3 innings, thanks to a .219 opposition BABIP.
