At 17

The Brewers match the Athletics with 17 runs on the day and Milwaukee downs the Chicago Cubs 17-2. Luis Urias and Jace Peterson each collected five hits, nearly half of the 22 hits knock out by the Brewers.

It’s the 54th time since the start of the 1920 season that two teams scored at least 17 runs on the same day. The record is three, taking place on 7/10/1926, 6/23/1930, and 6/18/2000. The last time it happened was 9/15/2020.
