Mets owner Steve Cohen came down on the Mets hitters in a tweet Wednesday morning. He actually seems like he’s studying the numbers:

The Mets slide started on July 27, and through Tuesday the team was hitting .239/.307/.361 since that date. That helped them to an 8-17 record. They are hitting even worse with men on base. They did beat San Francisco 6-2 today, but it was in 12 innings and the Mets didn’t score until the ninth.
