Juan Soto of the Nationals saw his lead shrink to eight points as he collects a walk in five plate appearances, while Paul Goldschmidt of the Cardinals posts a three for four day in a 5-1 loss to the Dodgers. Pete Alonso of the Mets faced Washington and goes two for four with a home run for fourth place as the Nationals take the game 4-3.
Moving into the top five in third place is Jorge Polanco of Twins. Polanco collected three doubles and a home run in a 5-2 win over the Guarindians. His game score of 81 was the highest of the day. Polanco posted multiple hits in nine of his last 18 games.
Bryce Harper of the Phillies falls to fifth place as he homers in four trips in a 12-0 win over the Brewers.
