Best Batter Monday

Juan Soto of the Nationals finishes the regular season at the top of the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. He draws a walk in five plate appearances in a 7-5 Red Sox victory. Rafael Devers of the Red Sox who went four for five with two home runs, posts the best game score of the day at 85. Devers finishes the season 83rd on the list.

Paul Goldschmidt of the Cardinals holds second place. He starts, goes 0 for 1, and comes out of the 3-2 Cubs win. Goldschmidt gets to play at least one more game. Bryce Harper of the Phillies sees his season end with a double and a walk, giving him 42 doubles on the season. The Marlins take the game 5-4.

Slots four and five belong to the Dodgers as Trea Turner finishes with a one for three with a grand slam for a nineteen game hit streak. HIs double play partner, Corey Seager, goes three for three to capture fifth place. They get at least one more game as the Dodgers will host the wild card game after beating the Brewers Sunday 10-3.
