The Braves and Astros continue the 2021 World Series in Houston Wednesday night after the Braves win game one 6-2. Max Fried faces Jose Urquidy.

Fried pitched two excellent games and one tough one so far in 2021 post season. Twice he pitched six innings in a post-season where starters are averaging 12 outs per start. All in all, he struck out 17 batters in 16 1/3 innings with just two walks.

Urquidy is now 1-2 with a 4.28 ERA in the post-season. He’s been hurt by a high walk rate, ten in 27 1/3 innings, and by a high number of home runs, six in total. While he does tend to allow home runs, his regular season walk rate is fantastic, so look for that to improve.
