The Cardinals won three on the infield and two in the outfield. The Cardinals ranked second in the NL in Defensive Efficiency Record (DER), a measure of the rate of turning balls in play into outs. They ranked third in FanGraphs defensive rating.
It seems like really poor PR to announce those awards on an NFL Sunday. It’s almost seems like MLB didn’t want anyone to notice.
