Brandon Belt accepts the qualifying offer from the Giants to remain in San Francisco. The other thirteen free agents who received the offers rejected them. Belt is coming off two very good years, but will be seasonal age 34 in 2022. He may want to wait a year to see if the new CBA removes this impediment to receiving his full value as a free agent. Of course, it’s quite possible he simply likes playing for the Giants.
